Gesture#2, 2019, Pastel oil crayon on paper, set of 3, each 90 x 70 cm
Building on the concepts explored in Gesture#1 and Rhythm, Repetition and Transformation, this series delves into the repetition of a single gesture. While each drawing is based on the same movement, subtle variations allow for a more liberated interpretation. The result is a series of three objects that resemble hollow forms, each one unique yet rooted in the same gesture. Through this process, I investigate how repetition and transformation create distinct outcomes from one singular action.
